Kim Kaselionis, with more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry, founded Breakaway Funding in 2013. She recognized that a fully-integrated crowdfunding platform should serve to match investors with businesses requiring capital to strengthen their balance sheets and position them for funding by traditional banks and credit unions.
Kaselionis is working to further extend Breakaway Funding’s leadership position by expanding issuer and investor initiatives that have been created by the JOBS Act of 2012. The Breakaway Funding business model unites community constituents including investors, businesses and financial institutions to facilitate growth capital, which in turn creates viable communities, jobs and sustainable local economies.
Kaselionis has held several banking leadership positions, most recently as CEO/Chairman of Circle Bank, leading it to 53 consecutive profitable quarters, and has proven experience packaging significant financial deals, including the sale of Circle Bank to Umpqua Bank for an over-book-value price. Author of financial documents and white papers, Kim has enjoyed numerous industry accolades. Kaselionis brings to Breakaway Funding key strategic and critical banking skills, essential to investors and startup businesses.
Kaselionis holds a BS degree in accounting from California State University, East Bay and MBA in business administration, University of Phoenix.
National Director of Marketing & Communications
Hanna brings more than 15 years of experience in brand development, public relations and social media to her new job. Most recently, she managed communications and marketing during acquisitions for Nidras and Associates in Marin County. Previously, she had provided creative and design services as a consultant in a variety of industries, including nonprofit, entertainment and fashion in Los Angeles.
“As we build our inventory of capital raises,” said Kaselionis, “it is important that we both be able to support our client’s creative needs and begin to market our services to a broad range of businesses and entrepreneurs. Azmina has the technical expertise and a thorough understanding of where social media and more traditional marketing can be combined to enhance our business.”
Hanna was graduated from the John H. Johnson School of Communications at Howard University with further studies at Portfolio Center, Atlanta.
Regional Marketing Director – East Coast
Richard Cuff has spent over 35 years as a successful social entrepreneur and small business community advocate. After proudly serving in the U.S. Army – including tours in Germany and South Korea – he returned to the Miami, FL inner-city neighborhood in which he grew up to start a management company that provided consulting services and personal coaching to small business owners. As Executive Director of a non-profit capacity building organization he developed the nationally recognized Guiding Success Program – a kindergarten to college pathway initiative for preschool students – to encourage literacy through entrepreneurship and the arts. Richard is a graduate of Jacksonville University’s Davis School of Business with a major in Marketing and Business Management. He is a recipient of the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 2014 Diversity Award.
Principal – Tobin & Associates
Gary Tobin, principal at TOBIN & Associates, has spent more than three decades in the corporate communications and marketing world. His background includes senior corporate communications positions with American Express Co., First Data Corp., Gulf + Western and the California wine unit of Heublein Inc. A graduate of San Francisco State University, he began his career as a journalist at the San Francisco Chronicle. Since 2004, TOBIN has been based in Marin County, CA, he provides strategic consulting to a variety of banks and credit unions as well regional, national and international businesses and organizations. Previously, while based in New York, he directed IPO communications and financial relations involving First Data Corp, MoneyGram Payment Systems, The Sabre Group (Travelocity) and ANC Car Rental (Alamo and National).
Jefferey is co-owner of Rigler Digital, a web design and video production company in Los Angeles, California.
With over 15 years in design and working for entertainment companies such as Walt Disney Studios and Fox, Jeff brings experience and commitment to each project. However, the challenge of creating elegant design with function is always the number one goal.
Jeff is a graduate of Arizona State University in both Art and Business.

Tom Nelson has spent over 30 years in sales and marketing management, leading teams in media, entertainment, ad agencies and SEO. As the CEO of his own successful marketing company. Nelson the team which built television celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s companies yielding Emmy Award winning television shows, more than 750 retail products and a national non-profit benefitting children. He is a graduate of Central Michigan University.

Khoi Dang, partner at Duane Morris, L.L.P., has extensive experience representing a broad range of corporate and individual clients in business transactions including corporate and venture capital financing, secured transactions, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions and SEC reporting. He also represents financial institution holding companies, banks, finance lenders and other financial entities on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters ranging from formation, conversion, corporate governance, operations and regulatory compliance. Mr. Dang holds a B.A. from UCLA, a M.A. from UC San Diego and a J.D. from Santa Clara University.
Principal Consultant – APG Consulting, California
George Moskoff, a principal consultant at APG Consulting, is an expert in creating and shaping the customer experience for his clients. A research scientist, he employs a pragmatic approach to create an experiment-driven approach to fixing customer retention and organization-limiting issues. With start-ups such as FaceReflect and established clients such as Target, Moen, ServiceMaster, AT&T, Moskoff is able to blend both traditional and entrepreneurial approaches to the work of developing and growing a business. He is frequently called upon to consult on User Experience (UX) matters because of his research background. He is a graduate of Skidmore College in New York, and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.

Jean-Luc Servat has 34 years of Investment banking experience in the United States and Asia and has held leadership positions with Merrill Lynch and Royal Bank of Canada. During his career as an investment banker, he has advised corporate clients on over 120 merger and acquisition transactions in the United States and overseas as well as more than 90 bank mergers. He has been a frequent contributor over the last two decades to seminars sponsored by the Western Independent Bankers, The Community Bankers of California, the Bank Directors Symposium and the Bank Director Magazine. He holds an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Paul Weiss, chairman of Fractal Sciences Inc., has nearly 27 years in very large equipment leasing (aircraft, railcars and vessels) and the funding of complex acquisitions worldwide. As a five-time startup entrepreneur, Weiss has broad experience in early stage companies, including presenting to and raising capital from investors; sales and marketing; finance and creating and attaining strategic initiatives. His current company, Panthera, offers extremely unusual leasing, rental, utilization and equipment option programs made possible by its structuring experience and substantial capital.

Michael holds a bird’s-eye view from the pinnacle of the bridge between executives raising capital and private investors. A Keiretsu Forum member since 2002, he is author of the Keiretsu Forum’s Due Diligence Process Handbook that outlines the process angel investors around the world use to evaluate private equity investments. Michael has served at the founder or co-founder level of, and in the initial strategic consultant role to, business startups in several industries. His expertise includes presenting and positioning highly complex start-ups to investors, customers, strategic partners, and other potential stakeholders in ways that make even the most ambitious outcomes realistic, compelling, and clearly achievable. He is currently Lead Accelerator for Keiretsu Squared, whose mission is to radically accelerate the path to market growth and liquidity of high growth potential companies.
